Artificial sausage casings can be made from materials such as collagen, cellulose, and plastic and may not always be edible. Collagen casings have been around the longest and are produced from animal collagen, mostly from the hides of cows and pigs. Sometimes the bones and tendons are included, and the casings can also be made from poultry and fish.
We understands that the quality of a casing greatly depends on the origin of the animal. With that in mind, we source our sheep from a variety of countries including Australia, New Zealand, Europe, and Asia. We are able to supply a full range of calibration. The sorted casings can be packaged in nets, vacuum bags, tubes, or in smaller bundles. In addition, sheep casings can be shipped in barrels or smaller plastic containers.
